The animation concept was based on the idea of destruction and decay revealing key iconography inside the title, each representing a different pillar of main groups in the series.

These items changed as the title developed and ultimately ended up as; A gun for the streets, rosary beads for the church, and a laurel for the state.

The title was built and animated with voronoi simulations in C4D, then composited in After Effects with additional lighting and atmospheric elements.

Along side Mohamed Kissarli and James Vaughan at Ignition, we came up with 5 intial concepts for the title animation. Ranging from a flat stylised graphic approach to fuller 3D builds.

As the sequence developed we added more detail to the characters, with golden accents and more weathered textures. This video shows a still early development of the main title.

The final sequence would then push this further, with a more distressed travertine marble texture, floating in a dusty space with large volumetric lights highlighting the dust and debris as the marble crumbles apart.
